Climate Change & Food Waste Workshop

   With City of London Academy Islington and the N1 Centre community

We hosted an exciting and fun-filled drop-in 3-hour mood board and discussion workshop in two parts with Foodwave and ReLondon. Together we engaged in discussions around food and climate encouraging the whole family to take part.

Part One
Moodboard Creation Workshop

Through these conversations, the year 9 students from City of London Academy Islington created artworks and collected images for their mood boards to express their thoughts and feelings.

We helped them discover and visually communicate their thoughts about:

•  What they thought a healthy diet is?
•  Brainstorm where they can choose local products and markets;
•  Discuss and visually express how we can fight against waste;
•  Communicate and create how to take action in your community
   and city.

Part Two
Window Discussion Workshop

We engaged with passers-by to create a written artwork together, whether they were with us for 3 mins and wrote down their beliefs about climate change and food waste, a message they wanted to share, their wishes or a recent stat they’ve learned, we welcomed everyone equally and their contribution was valued.

People said they felt like they had left their mark.
