Project Participant & Resident
"Rose just finished painting a mural on our estate and the end result is amazing! It really brightens up a dull area.
I attended a workshop with other residents, where we learnt about patterns and colours, which we used to help design the mural. It was fantastic to be part of the whole project from start to finish, and it's been incredible to see so many residents, young and old, actually helping out with the painting, it created a real buzz around the estate and I got to talk to so many neighbours who I have never spoken to in the 6 years I've lived here."

Project Participant & Resident
"I'm very delighted to have attended the workshop and worked with Rose! She transformed the wall and really cared about the community. Hopefully, Guinness will continue with the rest of the wall and I can’t wait to work with Rose. The mural draws everyone’s attention to the estate and brought everyone together. The personal touch and the attention to detail that Rose provided, by having a clear conversation and idea prior to the start of her workshop. In her workshop Rose was organised and neat she gave us a folder which has everything and we started to draw and pick colours, and learned how to draw patterns and more. We really enjoyed the day!"

"The Mural has brought a sense of unity and belonging to the residents and staff at the Stamford Hill Estate. I feel honoured to be a part of the project and hope we can collaborate again in the near future. Thank You Rose."

ABOUT

Our Story
"I didn't know I could do that!"
On the third day of our massive mural project in Tower Hamlets (East London), a young woman in a black jumper came up to me and said that. And at that moment I realised this could really be a *thing*.
I believe with my whole heart that creativity is for everyone, and that day I saw it in action... Now a year later the Co-Creative Connection has done five community mural projects, partnering with organisations like The Guinness Partnership, Peabody, Lewisham Homes, Eldon Primary School, The Hill Group, Poplar Harca Housing, Edmonton Green Shopping Centre, and Higgins Partnerships, and has brought over 150 people young and old together to paint, laugh, be creative, learn and make their space their own.
